Introduction h_da MSE
During my time at the Hochschule Darmstadt, I studied at the IMSEIT program majoring in Power Engineering. During this time, I really liked the 4 majors that were offered during my time there, and spent a good chunk of time indecisive about my major. Under Professor Fromm's counselling, I was able to explore a bit of each, by making the most of my optional courses, my internship and my master's thesis.
It turns out I ended up in a place where I can take and make the most out of all of which I learned about during my experience at the h_da. All the teachings about Power Electronics, Embedded Systems, Software Architecture, Control Theory, AUTOSAR, about project management, and about enjoying what we do as engineers, I use in my everyday life and day-to-day workday.
I've been an Embedded Software Model-Based Developer for Volvo Cars in the Power Electronics Software department for almost 2 years, and I can say that it's definitely a combination of that which I always wanted to do and all I aimed to have learned at Darmstadt. The experiences I have had here have been amazing and there's not a day in which I don't learn something new or feel like my job is easy because I love what I do.
With what I know today, if I had the chance to re-choose where to study my master's again, I would definitely repeat my choice. Proud to be a h_da alumnus!
